The story is set in the Soviet Union during the 1930s when Stalin was exterminating millions of Ukrainians, largely by starvation. It focuses on an American boy Peter and blind minstrel Ivan who are thrown together by fate. All ticket proceeds from these screenings will go to Ukrainian relief.
